Abstract
Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction in which the symptoms of various organs such as the respiratory, circulatory, gastrointestinal, and nervous systems appear abruptly within minutes to hours after exposure to various triggers. Although the frequency is low, it is an emergency that can lead to death if symptoms are not diagnosed quickly and prompt emergency treatment is not performed. Therefore, dentist dealing with different materials and drugs have to be prepared with an understanding of anaphylaxis diagnosis and emergency care. This paper studied the causes and mechanisms of anaphylaxis and introduces guidelines for the diagnosis and emergency care of anaphylaxis in dental clinics.
